About The Artist
Hi everyone! My name is Aqsa and I am a Pakistani-Canadian Muslim. I am 24 years old and obtained my undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto (Specialist, Mental Health Studies). I am currently a Master’s student pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Toronto, after which I will complete my PhD. I spend most of my time researching, publishing, and studying. My primary interests in my field are in the area of stigma associated with schizophrenia-spectrum disorders.
AQSAPAINTS
In 2019, I turned my hobby of painting into a passion project. With encouragement from friends and family, I set up an Instagram page and a TikTok account to showcase my art with the world. This allows me to do what I love and has allowed me to build and expand my artistic skills and knowledge of new mediums, techniques, and Islamic calligraphy styles.
